A Love Letter

My dearest love,

This time of year always reminds me of you. It has been four years since we first met, and these four years have been the best of my life.

It seems that every year at this time, I am asked why I got married. The answer is simple. "Because I fell in love."

There is only one thing in this world that I love as much as Christmas, and that is you. I remember when we first met. It was at a dance. Fate brought us together, as you were not supposed to be there, but somehow were. Our eyes first met as we engaged in a jig, and I felt ridiculous. I was born with not only two left feet, but two left legs. I feel like a large beast while dancing, and yet you made me feel like I was dancing on air.

Remind me again, why we INSIST on having dancing when we host parties?

Here are some things that I love about you.

I love your cooking. Even though it isn't much in the way of taste, I love that you go to the effort of making it for me.

I love your generosity. Every year we spend so much money on gifts for other people that we never have enough leftover to buy gifts for each other. I wish we could buy fewer things every trip, though. Too often, I break my back carrying everything. I also love how you feel the need to buy something from every poor street vendor that we see, including the old, motherly woman who sells chestnuts or whatever.

I love the way you keep the house clean. Your cleaning skills rival that of any charwoman in all of London, and the best part is, I don't have to pay you!

I love many more things about you, but right now I must be going to visit Uncle Ebeneezer. Time for my annual invitation to dinner. Hopefully, I'll put him in the vein to give his poor clerk a bonus.

With all of my love and hopes for a Merry Christmas,
Fred

I forget... are you in WVC? If so, you should say HI to Scrooge, I mean, your uncle. He knows mis padres.

  2. I'm in the Orem one. I know Richard Wilkins, too, though! I haven't seen him in years.

  4. So I'm telling my mom about how you and Richard almost worked together, blah blah, and then how you changed it so you weren't my hometeacher anymore, because you were sick of me (just teasing!) - but then I realized you and your companions were the only ones who I've been taught by in a really really long time.

SO, you should give yourself a pat on the back!

    Happy Sunday.
