Save the Best for Last

Hooray, hooray! Just what you've been waiting for. Another "blog" in which I simply list good things and bad things. There's a twist this time, though. That's right, Vanessa Williams! I'm saving the best for last. Btw- these are VERY random. Some of them I could have blogged about MONTHS ago, but never got around to it.

PS- Note to self: the next time I blog, I MUST share my biological iPod theory in connection with spirituality...

Worst
- Several months ago, we were talking in my Elders quorum about how it's sometimes hard to do the little things the prophet asks us to do. A guy who shall remain nameless (but know that he has been a jerk to me since middle school, and the only time he's ever really tried to be nice to me was while he was dating my friend Julie for a little while in high school, and even that was terribly fake and short-lived), brought up the fact that the prophet had requested that all Priesthood holders wear ONLY white shirts to Church every week. I had never heard this, so of course, I'm sitting there in my blue shirt, feeling like an idiot. Then the guy goes on to flat-out say that it's easier to just wear a "blue shirt" instead of a white one just because we think it looks nicer. All of a sudden, I realized that the whole room was looking at me. After a quick scan, I realized that I was the ONLY one in the whole room that was not wearing white. I was really ticked, and I've been watching said arsehole every week since then, and other than a small handful of weeks, he has worn a colored shirt to Church every time. Jerk, jerk, jerk.

- I'm really annoyed the lack of responsibility in some of my fellow college students. I'm not THAT old, but I feel like I'm turning into a crotchety (sp?) old man. If you commit to do a show for your department, DO IT! People don't just randomly forget that you bail rehearsals or spend the whole time you're there complaining about it and mocking your fellow actors. When it comes back to bite you in the butt, you're going to regret it. BIG time.

- I hate being busy. I was POSITIVE this semester wouldn't be as awful as last, and it's turned out to be worse so far. At least last semester, I had SOME Friday nights off as well as some Mondays. As of this moment, I have no clue when my next free night is.

- I hate that Wal-Mart has been freaking out of 24 hour Sudafed for over a month. Dang stinking druggies! As opposed to just having awful sinus headaches in the mornings and evenings like every other winter, I'm now stuck with one pretty much around the clock.

The Best
- I really love the faculty of my department. Well, at least the ones that I've dealt with so far. I was SO worried that once I got into a major where I'd get to know the teachers better and have multiple classes from them, I'd get stuck with people that I hated. I've severely disliked almost every single one of my general ed teachers over the years. It's awesome to have teachers that act more like peers. Even though Joe and I are fighting. And Chris kind of smells weird.

- I have two weeks off of O, Pioneers! The whole time will be spent on The Tempest and NOT having a break, but still! Two weeks off! I'd be sad because I'll miss some of the cast, but I think all the ones I'd actually miss will be down in Cedar City with me next week.

- Honey mustard flavored Pringles could very well become my favorite kind of potato chip ever. I'm seriously considering buying a case since they're available for a limited time only...

- The Fray concert last week was AWESOME. I loved them to begin with, but after seeing them live, I think I love them even more.

Okay. I think that's it for now. I'm incredibly tired.
