- Uchtdorf, Uchtdorf, Uchtdorf!!! He's seriously one of my favorite apostles of all time. Last Conference, my favorite talk was his "Matter of a Few Degrees" at Priesthood session. This Conference, my favorite talk was his talk about lifting together at Priesthood session. I seriously hope that he will become the prophet someday.
- President Monson: How cool is it to have a prophet who digs theatre? I'll admit that I was fighting to stay awake, but I swear he mentioned both Our Town and The Music Man today. Sidenote- Fran and I were at a performance of The Music Man at BYU that he just happened to be attending once. Ooh! He just now mentioned Dr. Faustus by Christopher Marlowe. What an awesome guy. I doubt he'll ever mention any of my favorite shows (The Full Monty, Miss Saigon, Rocky Horror, In the Heights, etc.), but it's still cool.
- Other talks I really enjoyed: Elder Nelson's, Elder Wirthlin's, EVERY Priesthood session talk, Elder Christofferson's...
- Honorable mention: when I dared my 15 year-old nephew, Braden, to blurt out "Oops!" if they talked about pornography in Priesthood. Of course, they did, and when Elder Scott brought it up, Braden looked at me, and I almost lost it. Good thing I was in his stake where nobody knew me. :)

I so agree with you on Pres. Uchtdorf! It's probably similar to how the Californians feel about having Ah-nold for their Governor...sort of.
ReplyDeleteThis was my experience while reading your blog today. Uchtdorf! Uchtdorf! Matt Nathanson!
ReplyDeleteI see you added music. :)
